Team #124 - Vanderbilt

On Saturday, December 17th, 2022, I saw my 124th Division One College Basketball teams. On this occasion, I saw the Vanderbilt Commodores take on the NC State Wolfpack. Vanderbilt is the 5th team that I have seen out of the SEC. Vanderbilt has a 5-5 record on the year. They most recently played Grambling State and they lost in shocker 64-62. The leading scorer for Vanderbilt is Liam Robbins and he is averaging 12.3 PPG. NC State has a 9-3 record on the year. They most recently played Furman and they won 92-73. A lot of experts said this was a very good win for NC State following opening the ACC Conference season with back to back losses. The leading scorer for the Wolfpack is Terquavion Smith and he is averaging 18.3 PPG. I saw NC State just a month ago take on Elon. During the Elon game, the Wolfpack weren't all that impressive. In the more recent games, NC State has showed more and should be interesting to see how this plays out. 

Vandy and NC State was a late one. Only stayed til halftime. As the teams headed to the half I told the refs good half. NC State won 70-66. DJ Burns had 18 points to lead NC State.
